I bought Pendaflex Reinforced Hanging Folders but the hanging hooks were too short for my filing cabinet. I feel that my filing cabinet is a standard size and do not need super long hanging file hooks. Since I have used Pendaflex hanging files in the past and have had no complaints, I kept the faith and exchanged those Pendaflex hanging file folders for these Pendaflex SUREHOOK hanging file folders. These folders fit my filing cabinet.I do not use the color of these hanging file folders to help organize my files. Instead, I place the hanging file folders that I reference the most on the top shelf of my filing cabinet so I can access the files without having to bend down, and I put those files towards the front of the filing cabinet.I also bought 100 filing tabs + 200 labels. This was a smart and worthwhile buy because the plastic is stronger, slightly taller, and clearer than the plastic filing tabs included with the Pendaflex hanging file folders. The clearer plastic allows me to read the file label very quickly and work faster.I also bought a Nimbot label maker for $30 on Amazon. It is easy to use. I use Bluetooth on my phone to find the label maker and I type and format my labels using the app associated with the Nimbot label maker that I downloaded to my phone. Labels are easy to print out. I have not fussed with adding emojis, changing the font, and getting very fancy with the label maker. I use the standard font, center the words, make sure that the words wrap onto the next line, and adjust the size of the letters. The only downside is that you cannot save labels. I tried to save labels and Nimbot prompted me to create an account. To register, Nimbot has to send a verification code to my email address, but I have found that the code is sent very slowly and Nimbot always times out before I can input the verification code. It is annoying and inefficient to have to repeatedly type a label as opposed to being able to pull up saved labels. Overall, I am happy with this label maker and find that it is very nice to have my hanging files labeled neatly. I can read the labels a lot faster when the font is typed out with a consistent look compared to handwritten labels. They work well for the plastic file box I bought previouslyIf you are as tired as I was of the regular hanging file folder hooks bending and then falling down if they were not set on the rail just so, then this is the product for you. I do a LOT of filing and have to manage a lot of files. I was constantly having an issue with the old, white, metal ones bending and one side of the folder falling down causing trouble anytime I had to scoot a folder to add another one or look for a file. A colleague purchased these. I didn't know they existed. They are a life saver. They are so strong, so sturdy, and ride the rails so smoothly that I have not had one issues since I swapped them out. They may be just a tad more than regular ones but they are completely worth it, especially in the long run.thought they were spring loadedAt first I was excited to see the upgrade. Then, not so much. Each file takes up more space AND the clear tabs are not tall enough. You can barely see what you are labeling.I had bought a set of Office Depot’s store brand. They were cheaply made, flimsy and wouldn’t straighten out, they kept the curl from being in the box. They also fell off the rails. The pendaflex are reinforced, thick and have plastic hooks which are sturdier than the thin metal type. They were also only 3-4 dollars more than Office Depot’s.I got these to organize my colored card stock used for making/stamping greeting cards. The folders are reinforced on the edges and the metal hangers seems strong and are not buckling under the weight of the card stock. I like the different colors and have the card stock in them by color. These hanging files are good for single sheets of paper. They’re not stretchy they’re just a V shape. They do come in pretty colors though. They slide easily.
